How to Redeem PSN Codes in 2026 (Web, PS5 & PS4)

Redeem PlayStation Store codes on any device — plus what to do when a code won't work.

Redeeming a PSN code
PSN codes are 12 characters in a 4-4-4 format.

Got a PlayStation Store code — a game, DLC, or wallet top-up? Redeeming takes about a minute once you know where the option hides on each device. Here's every method, current for 2026.

Redeem on the web (fastest)

  1. Go to store.playstation.com and sign in.
  2. Click your avatar (top right) → Redeem Codes.
  3. Enter the 12-character code carefully and confirm. The content or funds apply instantly.

Redeem on PS5

  1. Open PlayStation Store from the home screen.
  2. Press … (More) at the top bar, or go to Settings → Users and Accounts → Account → Payment and Subscriptions → Redeem Codes.
  3. Enter the code and confirm.

Redeem on PS4

  1. Open PlayStation Store, scroll to the bottom of the left sidebar.
  2. Select Redeem Codes, enter the code, and choose Redeem.

Redeem in the PlayStation App

Open the app → tap the PS Store tab → tap the menu → Redeem Codes. Same 12-character entry, works anywhere.

Region mattersCodes are region-locked: a US code won't work on an Indonesian/Singapore account and vice versa. The code's region must match your account's region — this is the #1 reason redemptions fail.

Code won't redeem? Try this

  • Check the characters: 0 vs O, 1 vs I, 8 vs B are easy to mix up. Copy-paste beats typing.
  • Already used? Check your transaction history — someone may have redeemed it already.
  • Right region? See above. Retailers sometimes sell the wrong region's codes.
  • Not yet active: pre-order codes only work from the release date.
  • Still failing: contact PlayStation Support with the code and proof of purchase — they can check its status.

Conclusion

Web redemption is the quickest path; the console methods are identical in result. Match the region, enter carefully, and your content appears immediately.
